Europe - Nokia falls, others rise


Nokia was the biggest loser in the past year

ComScore published the results of European smartphone market and statistics are showing that Nokia has lost much on their marketshare.

In fact, during July Finnish company held 51.2% of the market, which is down from 65.6% from last year. Apple's share has almost doubled and now stands at 19.2%. In third place RIM has increased its share from 6.4% to 8%, followed by Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG and Motorola.

From the operating systems, Symbian has fallen from 68.8% to 54.4% and Microsoft from 13.9 to 11.6%, while Google with Android increased its share from 0.5 to 6.1%.
