Panasonic has announced first cell phone in its line of Lumix cameras. However, CMOS sensor resolution of 13.2 megapixels, which will be installed in phone suggests that photographic aspect of device is still very important.
Dimensions of this mobile phone and camera is 116x52x17.7mm, weight is 146g and is fitted with a backlit LCD screen with 3.3" diagonal and resolution of 854x480 pixels. The screen is touch sensitive, and there is a Wi-Fi, microSD slot for memory cards and support for DLNA.
Launch in Japan is scheduled for 5th October, and whether the cell phone appear out of the market is not yet known.
Altek Leo with 14MP
Altek announced first 14MP Android smartphone. Camera supports 3x optical zoom and HD recording. It also comes with xenon flash and LED video light.
Other specs also looks really impressive. Leo comes with a 3.2-inch WVGA display with multi-touch support and it is powered by Android 2.1 (Eclair). It has all standard connectivity support like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS, as well as network data transfer options GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G with HSPA.
Leo will came to Europe in first quarter of 2011.
WP7 in Europe on October 21st?
Various sources were announcing launch dates of the Microsoft operating system Windows Phone 7, distributed over the next month. According to them presentation of WP7 in the United States is scheduled for 8th October, even though it was expected on 11th at Microsoft's annual conference in New York.
Devices would probably go on sale on October 21st starting in United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. Information about the presentation date is still unofficial, but it is quite safe to say that it's going to be during October. Mobile phone manufacturers are already advertising their WP7-based devices.
One of the previously announced models is HTC Mondrian. You can see its AT&T commercial in video clip above. We can say that HTC with Mondrian continues to practice clean and simple design.
